Ride and train in any weather

Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer

The Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer is a direct-drive bike trainer with a redesigned motor and magnets for a quieter, more immersive ride. It measures total power and left and right leg balance, with power and cadence accurate to within 1%. The frame moves a few degrees left and right with you, and motion plates, sold separately, snap on for more realistic motion. Road feel reproduces cobblestone and gravel in Tacx software or the Zwift app, and Race mode answers fast in virtual races. Add a cassette of your own that matches your bike, as a cassette is not included.

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer is made to help you ride and train no matter the weather conditions. The NEO 2T Smart Trainer has been optimized into an even quieter and stronger smart direct drive bike trainer. The motor has been redesigned in order to provide a better indoor cycling experience and ride feel, especially during climbs and sprints. The NEO 2T also features improved axle compatibility, directly compatible with quick release axles (130 and 135 x 5 mm) and 142 and 148 x 12 mm thru axles. Don't let the outdoors prevent you from getting an amazing ride indoors. The NEO 2T is a must-have for any rider.

What changed inside

How it works

Sound of silence
Redesigned magnets significantly improve the stillness of the NEO 2T. The noise from internal air displacement is reduced, along with the vibrations noticed at low cadence that used to travel to the floor. The result is a remarkably silent smart trainer.
Sprint response
The new motor design improves the ride feel during a climb or acceleration. More motor power lets the NEO 2T generate higher resistance levels under specific conditions, like a sprint or low speed, with 32 integrated neodymium magnets handling up to 2,200 watts.
Pedal analysis
A capacitive left and right detection sensor measures the exact position of both your legs. With standard ANT+ cycling dynamics added, you can analyse your pedal stroke through third-party software, for example on a Garmin Edge bike computer. Not available on Mac. Not available in Tacx Training.
Road feel and descents
Feel the vibrating sensation of cobblestones, gravel and many other road surfaces with Tacx software or the Zwift app. At the top of a hill, descent simulation accelerates you into the downhill when the trainer is connected to an external power source.

Drivetrain

Cassette bodies

The T2875.60 version carries a pre-installed Shimano and SRAM 9 to 11 speed cassette body. Campagnolo (9 to 12 speed, Campagnolo Body Type 2), 13-speed Campagnolo (N3W Body Type 2), SRAM XD or XDR and Shimano Micro Spline cassettes use their own bodies, and Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ is compatible as well.

The Zwift Cog and Click configuration comes with a pre-installed Zwift Cog, which makes the trainer compatible with almost any 8 to 13 speed drivetrain in Zwift and ROUVY.

  • Shimano and SRAM 9 to 11 speed on the pre-installed body
  • Campagnolo, SRAM XD and Micro Spline bodies for the rest

Axles

Axles it takes

The rear axle of the NEO 2T is redesigned to work with more bikes without adapters. Quick release axles of 130 and 135 x 5 mm fit directly, and thru-axle end caps cover 142 and 148 x 12 mm.

For bikes with 135 mm spacing outside those standards, a 135 mm Thru-Axle Adapter Set is available as an accessory.

  • Quick release 130 and 135 x 5 mm
  • Thru axle 142 and 148 x 12 mm
