The Montana 710 series is Garmin's large-format handheld: a 5-inch dual orientation touchscreen at 480 x 800 pixels, 32 GB of memory, a chemically strengthened glass lens and MIL-STD-810 testing for thermal, shock, water and vibration. It is built to be used with gloves on and mounted on a vehicle or a bike as readily as carried.
Montana 710 runs on the included rechargeable lithium-ion pack or on three AA batteries, which is useful on long trips away from power. Montana 710i and 760i add inReach satellite technology for two-way messaging, location sharing and interactive SOS through the Iridium network, and run on the rechargeable pack. Montana 760i additionally carries an 8 megapixel autofocus camera that geotags every shot.
Pick the combination you want with the two options: inReach Technology selects between the 710 and the i models, and 8 MP Camera selects the 760i. inReach messaging, tracking and SOS require an active satellite subscription.
