The Approach R10 is a portable radar launch monitor that fits in a golf bag. The unit measures 3.5 x 2.8 x 1 in (88.5 x 70.25 x 25 mm) without the tripod and weighs 5.22 oz (148 g), or 7.79 oz (220.8 g) with the tripod fitted, so it can move between a home net, the range and a garage bay without a permanent installation.
Radar measurement captures fourteen metrics per shot: club head speed, club face angle, club path angle, angle of attack, ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, spin axis, spin rate, apex height, smash factor, carry distance, total distance and deviation distance.
Practice features include a driving range mode, driving range target practice, saved club stats, swing speed training and automatic video recording that pairs each swing with its numbers. Home Tee Hero adds simulated course play with an active subscription. The R10 is also compatible with third-party simulator software.
An internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs up to 10 hours per charge over a USB connection, and the unit connects to a phone over Bluetooth to work with the Garmin Golf app.
In the box: Approach R10, tripod stand, phone mount, carry case, microUSB cable and documentation. Water rating is IPX7.
